Laina Dawes writes a post in response to “Does Race Matter.” In the blog she states:

I think that for some, they have been ingrained to hate themselves, have observed that the outside world emphasizes what is more ‘suitable’ and some people are treated better than others because of the hue of their skin or texture of their hair. Some people buy into those stereotypes as a way to make sense of this crazy world.

Race Relations in India

Posted by Jack Stephens on February 6, 2007

Shivam Vij writes a post on racism in India.  His blog is called National Highway and he also is a contributor to Blogbharti (a blog aggregator for Indian blogs):

All of this, Ojwando admits, is subtler than the insulting, sometimes violent behaviour understood as racism in the West. “But Indians are caught in the middle, they look up to the Whites and look down on the Blacks. They clearly see themselves as being in between.”

My attention was first drawn to this post by Krish, who’s blog is Krishworld Politics, on a post Krish did for Blogbharti.
