Wendi Muse, writing on Racialicious, blogs about personal ads and Craigslist:
In the world of online dating, where a user name, masked email address, and optional photo sharing means freedom to speak ones mind in complete anonymity, users frequently abandon political correctness and resort to exotification, stereotypes, and blatant racism when referring to racial/ethnic “others” in their attempts to choose a mate. While some ads include the user’s thoughts on race is more subtle ways, for example, simply stating a racial “preference” (still, arguably, a sign of prejudice), others are more obvious in their descriptions—ranging from the utilization of explicitly racist phrases or terms to describe his/her own background and/or the background of the person being sought to downright exclusion a la Jim Crow style (“No -insert race here- need apply”).

The Field Negro challenges Angela McGlowan to a debate and also states:
So anyway, girlfriend is doing the whole woe is me bit, and crying a river about how liberals on the left are attacking her. She talks about her Daddy from Mississippi, and she evokes the memories of Emmett Hill, Dr. King, and Fredrick Douglas. She goes after the usual suspects, Sharpton, Jackson, and Bond, which is proof positive of just how out of touch she is with her own race. She even recites the same old saying about “giving a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for life or some such bull shit. Geeez! Talk about pathetic. Angela, if you teach a man to fish and there is no fish in the f*****g lake, he still ain’t gonna eat!

Ron Kipling Williams blogs about the birthday of Malcolm X:
We have abandoned the message of Malcolm for the seduction of the Benjamins. We are so far off the path of land ownership, control and manufacturing of raw materials, providing free services to those of us in need, and ensuring our right to access, opportunity and protection as a people will be given the equal value of any other cultural group.

Tiffany, of the blog The Personal is Political, writes about the recent work of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers:
The Coalition of Immokalee Workers is moving quickly to get more of the fast food industry on board with their quest for fair food and dignity for tomato pickers. The CIW just announced that Yum Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell, is extending their agreement with Taco Bell to the rest of their brands, which include A&W, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Long John Silvers.
