Zee, of the blog African-American Politics and society!, blogs about plans for a Confederate History Month:
Last week, Georgia lawmakers planned a Confederate Month and it seems likely to be passed into law. This is one of the most outrageous legislations against African-Americans in recent memory and the entire Black population of the United States should be outraged and determined to stop this racist celebration from coming to fruition. Supporters of this outlandish celebration will no doubt point to Black History month as ammunition for their attempts to glorify the most painful chapter of American History, slavery.

On the blog Women’s Space/The Margins the author writes:
It’s simple, really — simple enough that Bindel can state it succinctly and clearly in a comparatively few words. Gender is about subordination. Feminism has been, in large part, about ending the subordinating social process which results in what we have come to describe as “gender.” Ending gender would benefit all people, men and women, because gender hurts us all, but it hurts women most of all. So ending it is something feminists have historically fought for.
